Sanghvi Woods Ltd ( A Unit Of Hindustan Pencils Ltd)

We are located in Jammu at House Number 5 which is right behind Adhunik Traders. This is on the National Highway in the Baribarahmna area. Sanghvi Woods Ltd is actually a unit of Hindustan Pencils Ltd and we handle a lot of the wood processing here. The place is run by Major B.L. Sharma and we have been in this part of J&K for a good while. Since we are right off the highway it is easy for trucks to get in and out which is good because we move a lot of timber. It is a very industrial area so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the other factories nearby. We spend our days making sure the wood is sorted and ready for making pencils. It’s not the cleanest job in the world and we usually end up covered in wood shavings by the end of the shift. The weather in Jammu can be quite extreme so we have to deal with the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter. We don't have any fancy offices. It’s mostly just a practical space where we can keep an eye on the yard and the workers. Most of the people here have been working with wood for their whole lives. We don't do anything flashy. We just make sure the raw materials are handled right so the pencils turn out okay. It’s a steady job.
