Royal Spices

Royal Spices is located over in Phase 1 of Gangyal, right in Jammu. It’s an industrial spot, so there’s always noise and movement around us. We’ve been at No. 52 B for several years. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it works for what we do with the spices. Working in Jammu means we deal with some pretty hot summers, which makes the warehouse quite warm. We spend a lot of time sorting through bags and checking the quality of what comes in. It’s a lot of manual labor. Most of the guys here live close by, so we have a good little group. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or big signs. People around Gangyal know where we are. Dealing with spices means the whole place smells like turmeric and chili most days. Sometimes it makes you sneeze if you aren't used to it. We just try to keep the supply moving. The traffic on the main road can be a real pain during the evenings when everyone is trying to head home. We just stay focused on the work at hand. It's a straightforward business. No big secrets or complicated systems. We take the raw stuff, process it, and get it ready for whoever needs it next. It’s a steady rhythm and we like it that way. Most days we finish up around six and head home to our families. It is not a glamorous life, but it pays the bills.
