This branch of the company is located at 305 4 in Channi Himmat, Jammu. It’s a decent area and fairly easy to reach if you’re coming from the main parts of town. The office itself is pretty straightforward. We have a few rooms dedicated to the different project teams. It’s not anything special to look at, just plain walls and sturdy furniture that’s seen a lot of use. In Jammu, the weather really dictates how the day goes, especially when it gets really cold or during the rains. We spend a lot of time coordinating with sites that are often quite far from here, so the phones are always ringing. We keep a lot of records in big binders that take up most of the shelf space. There is a small kitchen area where we make tea and heat up our lunch. It’s a very casual atmosphere. We don’t really wear suits or anything like that; it’s mostly just jeans and shirts because we might have to head out to a construction site at any moment. Channi Himmat is a good spot for us because it’s central enough but not as chaotic as the very center of the city. We’ve been operating from here for a while, and the staff knows the routine well. It’s just about getting the work done and making sure everything is on track for the next day.
