Psychiatric Diseases Hospital

This is the Psychiatric Diseases Hospital located at the Goverment Medical College in Amphala. We are pretty easy to spot once you get to the Amphala area. The hospital has been around for a long time, and many people in Jammu are familiar with the site. It’s a busy government facility, so there is always something going on. From the moment the gates open, you see people coming in from the street. The atmosphere is very down-to-earth. We don't have plush carpets or expensive art on the walls. It’s mostly just white walls and functional furniture that has seen a lot of use over the years. The doctors and nurses are busy moving between wards, and the administrative staff stays at their desks handling the files. Sometimes the wait can be long, but people are patient and talk to each other while they sit. The location in Amphala is convenient for those using public transport. There are plenty of shops nearby if someone needs a snack or a bottle of water. It’s a place that works hard every day. We don't put on any acts here. It’s just about providing a place for treatment in a city that needs it. Every day is different, but the goal of keeping the hospital running stays the same. We are just a team of people working in an old building in Jammu, doing what needs to be done.
