Metlife India Insurance Company

We’re based at 144 Nehru Road in Dehradun. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you’re familiar with the main roads around here. This Metlife office is where we handle the local insurance work. It’s a lot of paperwork, as you can imagine with insurance. We have people coming in all day asking about their accounts or wanting to start something new. The office isn't anything special to look at—just some desks, chairs, and a lot of folders. We try to keep things moving, but sometimes there’s a wait when we’re short-staffed or if someone has a really complicated issue. Dehradun is a nice place to work, especially with the hills nearby, though we spend most of our time looking at computer screens. We don't use a lot of big words or try to sell people stuff they don't need. Usually, it's just about explaining how the coverage works and what happens if something goes wrong. We make a lot of phone calls to the main office to get things approved. It’s a regular routine. Some days are busier than others, especially at the end of the month. We aren't a massive operation, just a local team doing the daily grind. We like it that way because we get to know the regulars who come in. It’s just a normal job in a normal office on Nehru Road, and we’re okay with that setup.
