Our office is over at 138, Lower Laxmi Nagar, right on Justice Bhat Lane in Sarwal. Jammu is a good place to work, even if the winters get a bit chilly for the guys outside. Leighton Construction India Ltd has a small crew here, and we mostly focus on the local projects that come our way. The office is in a quiet lane, which we like because it lets us focus on our drawings and schedules without distraction. We do not have a big budget for fancy office supplies. We use what we have and make sure the work gets finished on time. You won't find any glossy brochures here. Most of our information is kept in big folders or on a few old hard drives. It is a very hands-on environment. If something breaks, we usually try to fix it ourselves before calling anyone else in. We spend a lot of time on the phone with sites across the region. It is not a glamorous job, but we enjoy the feeling of seeing a project finally come together after months of work. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the weather quite a bit, like everyone else around here. It is just a normal workplace with normal people trying to do a decent job every day. We do not make it more complicated than it needs to be. That is just how we like to run things in Sarwal.
