Kitaab Aur Kalam Foundation

We are based at 38/7 in Nanak Nagar. It is a pretty straightforward place to find if you know the neighborhood. The name Kitaab Aur Kalam translates to Book and Pen, which is basically what we focus on. We don't have a big glossy brochure or a fancy receptionist. Usually, it's just one of us sitting at a desk with some papers. Nanak Nagar is a lively part of the city and we like being tucked into this street. We spend our mornings getting things ready and the afternoons are usually for meeting people who drop by. There is always a lot of chatter and maybe some noise from the street, but that is just the way it is. We aren't interested in sounding like a big company because we aren't one. We are just local people who think education and writing matter. We keep our files in old cabinets and sometimes the computer acts up, but we get the job done. It’s important to us to stay reachable. People in the area know us by now. We don't put on any acts. If you come by, you’ll probably see us drinking some chai and working through a pile of notebooks. It’s a modest way to run things, but it feels right for where we are. We like the local rhythm here and it keeps us going every day without needing any flashy advertisements or corporate polish.
