Health Foundation

We are located in Purani Mandi, which is one of the older, busier parts of Jammu. Being near the Ram Mandir means there’s a lot of foot traffic and the air is often full of the sounds of the temple. The Health Foundation is a small place tucked into these narrow streets. We’ve been around for a while, helping people with their basic health needs. It’s not a big fancy facility. We have a few rooms and a small waiting area that often gets full quite quickly. People come here because we are right in the neighborhood. They don’t have to travel far. We see a lot of families who have lived in this part of Jammu for generations. Our staff knows most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. It’s a practical place. We deal with everyday illnesses and give out advice on staying healthy. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets blocked by a procession, but we just carry on. It’s part of living and working in the old city. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny website. We just keep the doors open for whoever needs us. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the work we do inside is what matters. It’s about being there for the community in a way that’s simple and honest and helpful for everyone.
