Gulposh

Gulposh is located at No. 26-27 in the Rajput Complex. We are right on Raj Tilak Road in Purani Mandi. This part of town is always crowded, especially during the festival seasons. The shop isn't very large, but we make use of every inch of space we have. We have shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, and we have to use a rickety ladder to reach the stuff at the top. The Rajput Complex has a lot of other businesses, so there is always someone popping in to ask for directions or just to say hello. We keep the front door open most of the time to let in some air, but that also lets in all the dust from the road. We spend a good part of the morning just dusting things off. We have a small counter where we keep the ledger and a few pens. Most of the people who come in are locals who have been living in Purani Mandi for generations. We talk about the prices of things or how the road is getting more crowded every year. Sometimes we have tea brought over from the stall across the street. It is a simple routine, and we don't try to make it anything more than it is. We just keep the shop running and help people find what they are looking for among the stacks.
