Singla Cables

Our place, Singla Cables, is tucked away in Lane-2 of Phase-II in the Sidco Industrial Complex. It is over in Bari Brahamana, Jammu. We have been making cables here for quite a long time. The weather in Jammu can be quite extreme, so we have seen our fair share of hot summers and very cold winters inside the factory. The building is a bit older now, and the paint is peeling in some spots, but the machines inside work just fine. We mostly spend our time on the production floor making sure the wires are insulated properly. It’s a lot of noise and heavy spools of copper and aluminum moving around. We don't have a big team of sales people in suits. Usually, it’s just us in our work clothes dealing with the distributors and contractors who need reliable wiring. Sometimes the power goes out in the industrial complex and we have to wait for the generators to kick in, which is always a bit of a headache. We aren't into fancy slogans or big corporate talk. We just focus on making sure the length and thickness of the cables are exactly what the customer asked for. It’s a straightforward job. We get the raw materials in, we process them, and we ship the finished rolls out to different parts of the country. It’s a hard day’s work every day, and we take it one roll at a time.
