Baba Chemicals

We are located in Baramullah, Kashmir, and we have been running Baba Chemicals for quite some time now. Dealing with chemicals in this part of the country is different because of the weather and how the seasons change. Mostly, we supply things that local people need for their land or small local businesses. The shop isn’t anything big, just a regular space where we keep our stock. It gets very cold here in the winter months, and things slow down a bit when the snow starts falling. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place organized and waiting for the roads to clear up so the supplies can reach us from outside. Sometimes the deliveries are late, which is just how it is living in the mountains. We know most of our regular customers by name because they have been coming to us for years. My brother and I handle most of the work ourselves, from unloading the bags to keeping the ledger. It is a quiet kind of life, and we don't try to make it seem more complicated than it really is. We just focus on what people in Baramullah are asking for and try to keep those items on the shelves. There are days when it’s just us sitting around drinking tea and talking to neighbors who stop by. We aren't looking to grow into some huge corporation, just keeping the shop going is enough for us.
