Alkhatib Jewellers Private Limited is based right in the heart of Srinagar. We are located on HSH Street, which is a busy area most of the time. If you know the Hanuman Mandir around here, we are very close to that spot in Badyar Balla. Mohd Mushtaq Rather runs the place and oversees what happens with the jewelry we handle. Srinagar is a beautiful place, but it has its challenges, and being on HSH Street means we see a lot of the daily city life. We have been here for a while now, just working out of this space. It's not a giant showroom with bright flashing lights. It's a local jewelry business. We spend our mornings getting the shop ready and the evenings closing up. People come by mostly because they know the name or they live nearby in the 190001 zip code area. We deal with traditional stuff and some newer designs too. It is a bit crowded on the street sometimes, especially near the temple, but that's just how Srinagar is. We don't spend money on fancy ads or big billboards. We prefer just being a part of the local community here in Jammu and Kashmir. Most of the people who walk in are neighbors or people who have been coming to HSH Street for years. We just keep the door open and do our work every day. That is about it for us at the Badyar Balla location near the mandir.
