Corps Of Signals (Army)

We are based out of House No 142 in Shardhapuri Phase-I. It's a regular residential street in Hari Nagar, Kankarkhera. Being part of the Corps of Signals in the Army, things are usually about communication and keeping the lines open. In Meerut, we’ve been at this D-10 spot for a good while. The house isn't very big, but it fits what we need for the paperwork and the small team we have here. You might walk right past it if you weren't looking for the number. It’s not like the big cantonment areas, just a quiet corner in the 250001 area. We deal with various signal-related tasks and administrative bits. Most of us have been in the service for years. We wake up early, get the tea going, and start on the day's logs. The neighbors are used to us by now. Sometimes the kids in the street play cricket right outside the gate. It’s a simple setup. We don't have fancy furniture or a big lobby. It’s just desks, some old computers, and a lot of filing cabinets. We try to stay organized. Meerut heat can be tough in June, so we have a few fans going all day. It’s just the daily grind, making sure the messages get through and the records are kept straight. It’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and work through the stack of papers on the table.
