About Nic Representative In Rdd Dept. – Tourism in JAMMU & KASHMIR(Kishtwar)
Up here in Village Upper Pochhal, life moves at its own pace. Working as the NIC representative for the RDD department means I spend a lot of time on the computer or out meeting people in Kishtwar. The mountains are right there and sometimes the internet gets a bit slow when the weather turns bad. My house is basically the office. People come by with questions about their paperwork or government schemes and I try to help them out. Being in the 182204 pin code area, we are quite far from the big city centers, so we have to be self-reliant. It’s a lot of data entry and keeping records for the rural development stuff. I’ve lived in this village for a long time. It’s quiet and everyone knows everyone else. I handle the tech side of things for the department from my place. It isn't a fancy office with glass windows, just a room with my setup and some files. During winters, it gets really cold and we have to keep the heater going to work. There’s always someone stopping by for a chat or to ask about a form. It feels good to be useful to the community. I just do my daily tasks, check the emails when the signal is good, and keep the department updated. It's just honest work in a beautiful place. I don't have fancy titles, just the responsibility to get things logged correctly.
