Our office is right there in Bhagvan Nagar, which is part of the Ashram area in New Delhi. If you know Delhi, you know Ashram is always moving and always loud. There is a lot of traffic nearby on the ring road, but once you get into the lanes of Bhagvan Nagar, it gets a little bit more manageable. We are at 38 A. The building is just a standard Delhi structure, nothing that stands out too much from the neighbors. Working for the Indian Army from this location means we see a lot of people coming through for various bits of paperwork and administrative tasks. It can get a bit cramped inside when it is busy, but we make it work. The staff here has been around for a long time, and we have a rhythm to the day. We start early before the heat gets too bad, and usually, there is a lot of shuffling of papers and the sound of stamps hitting desks. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. It is just a place where the work gets done because it has to be done. We deal with whatever comes through the door, whether it is a veteran looking for help or just some routine internal stuff. It is a basic, no-nonsense kind of place, and that seems to suit us just fine in this busy part of the city.
