Our place of business is out in Vill- Uttar Sura. It is part of the Purba Burdwan district. Partha Chakraborty & Co. is what we call ourselves. The post office is Sure Kalna and we are under the Jamalpur police station. It is a very quiet area compared to the big towns. Most of the people around here are farmers or small traders. Our office is a simple room where we keep our files and do our work. We don't have any corporate branding or expensive furniture. It is just a desk, some chairs, and us. We handle whatever business comes through the door from the local community. Being in Uttar Sura means we know almost everyone who walks by. We get our mail at the Sure Kalna post office and sometimes we have to go down to the Jamalpur police station for official matters. It is a slow-paced life but we like it that way. We don't have a website or anything like that. If someone needs to find us, they just ask around the village. Purba Burdwan is a large district, but we are happy in our little corner of it. We start our day when the sun comes up and usually head home before it gets too dark. It is a straightforward life here. We don't try to make things sound more complicated than they are. We just do the paperwork and help people out as best as we can every day. Sometimes the rains make the roads a bit muddy, but we manage.
