Simplex Infrastructures Limited

You can find us over at Kerani Para in Jalpaiguri, right there in the house of Amalendu Gupta. It’s a more personal setup than what you might expect for a company like Simplex Infrastructures Limited. We are based in a residential part of town, which makes the morning commute for the staff quite easy. The vibe here is pretty relaxed, though the work we do is anything but. Most of our projects are scattered across the West Bengal region, so this house serves as a central point for communication. We have a few desks set up, lots of files stacked against the walls, and there’s usually someone on the phone trying to track down a truck driver or a load of gravel. It feels more like a family-run operation because of where we are located, even though we are part of a much bigger network. We deal with the heavy rains that hit Jalpaiguri every year, which always makes the construction work a bit of a gamble during the monsoon months. We spend a lot of time planning around the weather. It’s not a corporate glass tower, and we like it that way. It’s just a house in a regular neighborhood where we plan out how to build bridges and roads. We keep things pretty simple and try to be good neighbors while we manage our sites. Most people in the village know us and stop by for a chat.
