Ramdhanu Masala

Ramdhanu Masala is way out in Debpara Village. We’re in the Dhupguri Tehsil of Jalpaiguri District, and our mail goes through the Banarhat Post Office. If you’re coming by train, the railway station is right near us, which is handy for moving things around. Being out in a village means things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We have a decent-sized space here because land isn't as tight as it is in town. We handle the masala processing and packing right on site. It’s a very hands-on job. Most of the people working here are from Debpara or the nearby villages, so we all know each other’s families. The air is a bit fresher here, though when we’re grinding spices, the smell is very strong and lingers on your clothes all day. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. It’s just us in a building near the tracks, making sure the product is good and the bags are full. Sometimes the rains make the roads to the station a bit muddy, which slows us down, but we just deal with it. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We focus on the work at hand and don't worry too much about being a big corporate entity. It’s just how we operate here in the district, day in and day out, without any major changes.
