M/S Abdur Rouf & Co.

M/S Abdur Rouf & Co. has been operating out of Bajrapara for quite a while now. If you know where the BD Office is in the Jalpaiguri district, then you pretty much know where to find us since we are right near there. It’s a quiet enough area most days, except for when there’s a lot of movement at the government buildings nearby. We mostly stick to our work and try to get everything finished before the sun goes down. The office has a few old wooden chairs and a lot of files stacked up because there is always some record or the other that needs looking after. In this part of Jalpaiguri, things move at their own pace, and we’ve grown used to that over the years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just a reliable place where people in the neighborhood know they can find us during the week. Our staff usually takes a break together in the afternoon when the tea seller comes around. It’s those small moments that make the day feel better. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name on the door and the same routine we’ve had for ages. It feels good to be part of the local community here in Bajrapara and we just keep doing what we know best without making a big fuss about it or pretending to be something we aren't.
