Our office for Maynaguri Developers Private Limited is located at Pabitra Debgupta’s place on Anandnagar Road. We are pretty close to the PWD post here in Maynaguri, which is in the Jalpaiguri district. It’s a bit of a different pace of life up here in this part of West Bengal compared to the big cities. We focus on local development projects, which means we are often out on the road visiting different sites or meeting with people about land. The office itself is quite simple and feels more like a home than a business sometimes. We have our files and our computers, but there is always a pot of tea going and someone stopping by for a chat. Working in Jalpaiguri means we have to deal with the weather, especially during the monsoon when everything slows down. We don’t have a big, shiny office building, just this honest space on Anandnagar Road where we handle our daily tasks. It’s about getting the jobs done right and making sure the people we work with are satisfied. We don't really do the whole corporate branding thing; we just go by our name and the work we have finished in the past. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy enough with the various buildings and plots we manage. You can usually find us here during the day unless we are out checking on a foundation or talking to a supplier about materials we need.
