This office is located over in Dutta Patty, which is part of the Alipurduar village area. We handle a lot of the ground-level stuff for the construction projects happening nearby. People come by to drop off letters or to ask about work opportunities. It’s a plain place, nothing special to look at. We try to keep the tea kettle going for when the site supervisors come in for meetings. Usually, we are just busy looking at spreadsheets or talking to vendors about gravel and sand prices. Dealing with the heat in West Bengal is a constant thing. We have a few old chairs in the waiting area for anyone who needs to sit. It’s not like those big corporate buildings you see in the city. We are just a local branch doing what needs to be done.
