Ganesh Foods

Out here in Fulbari, things are a bit different than the big city. Ganesh Foods is tucked away in Rajganj, which is part of the Jalpaiguri district. It’s a nice area, quite green compared to the more industrial parts of the state. We spend our days working with the local supplies and keeping the machines running. The air feels a bit fresher here, though the humidity can get to you in the summer months. Our setup is pretty straightforward. We have the main processing area and then a bit of space for storage. We aren't a giant corporation with hundreds of people, just a small crew that knows the work inside and out. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad, maybe a short bike ride or a walk. You can hear the sounds of the village and the birds when the machines are turned off for lunch. We do our best to keep things tidy, but it's a food business, so there's always something to clean or a bag to move. The rain in Jalpaiguri can be really heavy, and sometimes we have to stop work just to listen to it hitting the roof. It’s a quiet life in many ways, but the work is steady and honest. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the food is ready when the transport arrives at the gate. It's just a regular local business doing its thing.
