If you are ever in Ambika Nagar, you might have walked past our shop. We are located near Sahudangi Hat, which is under the Bhaktinagar police station in Jalpaiguri. It is a busy little corner of the world. Dutta Bhandar has been serving the local people for quite some time now. We aren't a big supermarket chain; we are just a local store where you can find the basics. The shelves aren't always perfectly organized, and sometimes we run out of things faster than we expected. But we know most of our customers by their names. People come in not just to buy things but to have a quick chat about the weather or local news. Jalpaiguri has its own pace, and we try to match it. Some mornings are quiet, giving us time to restock and clean up the floors. Then by evening, the place gets crowded with people coming home from work. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign with lights. Just a simple board above the door. We live and work in the same community, so we see our neighbors every day. It is a straightforward business. We buy things, we sell them, and we try to be fair about it. Being in Ambika Nagar feels right for us. It’s where we belong and where we plan to stay for the long haul. We try to keep the doors open as long as there are people needing things.
