Dilip Kr. Das & Son'S

Over here in Village-Belakoba, things move a bit differently than in the big cities. We are located in the Prasanna Nagar area of Jalpaiguri. Dilip Kr. Das & Son'S has been a part of this community for a long time. It’s a family thing, as you can probably tell from the name. Our place isn't hard to find if you ask anyone in the village. We don't have a big sign with flashing lights, just our name and the work we do. Being out here means we know all our neighbors and they know us. The air is a bit cleaner than in the town center, and we have a few trees around the building that give some shade during the summer. We spend our days dealing with whatever comes through the door. It’s a lot of practical, hands-on work. The office part is just a small room with a wooden desk and some ledgers. We still write a lot of things down by hand because that’s how we’ve always done it. Sometimes the rain makes the road to the village a bit muddy, but we manage. People stop by just to chat as much as they do for business. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on the fact that people know where we are in Jalpaiguri. It’s a simple life and a simple business, and we like it that way. We just keep going, day after day.
