Vidya Bharti Senior Secondary School

If you walk down Sire Mandir Road here in Jalore, you'll find our school. Vidya Bharti Senior Secondary School has been part of this neighborhood for quite some time. It's a senior secondary school, so we deal with older students mostly, though there are younger ones around too. Jalore can be a quiet place, but our street gets lively when the school day begins. The building isn't anything modern or shiny, just a solid place where classes happen. We spend a lot of time making sure the students actually show up and do their work. The teachers are locals who understand the families here. We have a playground that gets quite dusty when the wind blows, but the kids don't seem to mind much. During the exam season, things get a bit more serious and quiet in the hallways. We don't go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People know us because their older siblings or cousins came here before. It's just a regular school day every day. We open the doors early and close them once the last bus or rickshaw has left. It is just how things go here on Sire Mandir Road. We try to keep things simple and focus on the books and the board. There is always something to fix or a room to paint, but we manage it as we go along. Most of us have worked here for years.
