Shree Jagnath Maha Dev Building Material is located in Devra village, which is under the Joshi post office in Sanchore tehsil. Our place is near the Nimbeu Road, which is where most of the trucks pass through. We deal with all kinds of materials that people need to put up buildings and walls. It is a rural area, so things move a bit slower here than in the big cities, and we like it that way. The yard is often a bit messy with piles of stones and bags of cement, but we know where everything is. My brothers and I run the place most days. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning; we mostly sit outside or in a small shed to talk to the customers. The sun gets really strong out here on Nimbeu Road, so we try to get the heavy loading done before it gets too hot in the afternoon. People from all the nearby villages come to us because they know we have been here for years. We don't bother with fancy signs or big promises. We just provide the materials and help people load them up. It’s hard, physical work, but it feels good to see a new house go up in the village. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the local construction needs. It is just a regular life for us out here in Devra.
