Poonam Fashion Work

You can find Poonam Fashion Work right near the Brahma Kumari Aashram. It is a quiet enough area most of the time, which is nice for the kind of work we do. We spend most of our hours sitting with fabric, needles, and thread. There are always bits of string and cloth scraps on the floor, no matter how often we clean up. Small operations like ours usually have a few people working on different pieces. People bring us things they want fixed or something they want made from scratch. We don't have a big sign or a fancy storefront. It is just a room where the work happens. Sometimes the lighting isn't great, and we have to move closer to the door to see the fine details of the stitching. No one here uses any high-end marketing or anything like that. Most folks find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us while they were visiting the Aashram. It is slow work sometimes, and your back can get a bit sore from leaning over the machines all day. We just take it one piece at a time. It is not a glamorous life, but there is something good about seeing a finished garment after hours of sitting and sewing. We just keep our heads down and do the work as it comes in.
