Down here on Bhinmal Road in Bhagli Sindhlan, things move at a bit of a different pace. Mahadev Granimarmo Private Limited has been operating out of Khasra No. 1135/1011 for some time now. If you know this part of the world, you know it’s all about the granite. The yard is usually full of blocks coming in from the quarries. It’s a lot of noise with the cutters running, but you get used to it after a while. We spend most of our mornings checking how the stone looks after it arrived the night before. Sometimes the patterns aren't what we expected, but that's just how natural stone is. Our tea breaks are usually the best part of the day, sitting in the small shade we have while the sun beats down on the road outside. It gets really dusty, so we’re always washing down the slabs so people can see the real colors. We aren't a massive corporate office with people in suits; we’re usually in boots and covered in a bit of slurry. The location is okay for the trucks, though the road can be a bit rough in the rainy season. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. Most of our regulars are local builders who just need a reliable supply for their projects around the district. They know we are here and what we do.
