You can find us in Hanuman Bazar, operating under the care of Fatechand Rajmal Shah & Sons. Ashok Pulse & Flour Mill is a traditional kind of place. The bazaar is always crowded, and the sound of the machines grinding away is just part of the background noise here. We deal with pulses and flour, the basic stuff everyone needs. There’s always dust in the air from the grain, and our clothes usually have a fine layer of white flour on them by the end of the day. It’s hard work, and it can be quite hot in the summer months. We don't have an air-conditioned office or anything like that. We just have the mill and a small corner where we keep the books. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to this bazar for generations. We know their names and what they usually need. We don't use fancy packaging or have a brand consultant. We just weigh the flour, bag it up, and hand it over. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend half the day fixing them ourselves. It’s a very hands-on kind of life. We’ve been part of this market for a long time, and we’ve seen shops come and go, but people always need flour. We just keep doing what we know how to do. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in the heart of the bazaar. No frills here.
