Wadgaonkar Jaggery Plant Ltd.

Our place is over in Vishnu Nagar, right at House Number 1.11.405. If you know the B.N. Kulkarni area in Nanded, you probably know where we are. Jaggery making is a specific kind of work, and it keeps us pretty occupied throughout the season. The plant has its own rhythm, and there is always something that needs fixing or cleaning after a long shift. It gets quite warm around the machinery, but that's part of the process and you just deal with it. We spend a lot of time monitoring the batches and making sure things are moving along. It isn't a quiet job. There is a lot of noise from the equipment and people shouting to be heard over it. We have a small team here, and everyone knows their part without being told too much. Sometimes the supply of raw material is a bit unpredictable because of the weather or transport issues, so we have to adjust our schedule on the fly. We've been in this part of Nanded for a bit, and we’re used to the way things work around here. It’s honest work, even if it’s sticky and tiring at times. We mostly just focus on getting the jaggery produced and out the door. The building itself is simple, just what we need to get the job done. We don't spend much time on paperwork unless we have to, as most of the action is on the factory floor and in the loading area.
