Talani Farmer Producer Company Limited is situated at House Number 1138 in the village of Talni. We are in the Mantha taluka of Jalna district. This is a rural part of Maharashtra where everyone knows everyone else. Our company is basically a group of local farmers trying to work together. We don't have a fancy office building, just this house where we keep our files and meet up when we need to. Jalna can be a dry place, so water is always a big topic of conversation for us. We spend a lot of time thinking about the rain and when to sow our seeds. Most of the people involved in the company have been farming these lands for their whole lives. We aren't experts in business, we just know how to grow things and want to get a fair shake. Sometimes the roads out here aren't the best, but we make do. It's a quiet life for the most part, except when it's time to sell the harvest. Then everything gets a bit chaotic for a few weeks.
