Swarajya Urban Kandari Nidhi Limited

The office is set up in Kandari, which is part of the Partur taluka. We are working out of the place belonging to Jagannath Babasaheb Kakde. It’s a quiet village area mostly, except for the sounds of the farm animals and the occasional tractor going by. Being near the post office makes it a central enough location for the locals to visit us without going too far out of their way. Inside the office, things are kept very simple. We have a few wooden desks and some old metal cupboards where we store the records. It smells a bit like paper and ink in here, which is fine by us. Jagannath is a local man, so everyone feels comfortable coming by to discuss their business. We don't have any polished floors or bright lights. It’s just a standard room where we keep track of the savings and loans for the people in Kandari. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the doors wider to let the sunlight in so we can keep writing. We don't make a big fuss about things. We just provide a place where people can handle their money matters close to home. It’s a steady job, and we take it seriously even if the office looks a bit plain to an outsider. We’ve been part of this village life for a while now and we know the families here.
