Laxmi Stone Merchant

We run Laxmi Stone Merchant over at Lakkad Kot. If you are coming from the bus stand, we are right near there on Aurangabad Road. It is a very dusty business, as you can imagine, with all the stone moving around. We have all kinds of stones piled up in our yard. Most people stop by when they are building something or fixing up a garden. We have been sitting on Aurangabad Road for a long time, and we have seen a lot of changes in the local neighborhood. Being near the bus stand is helpful because it makes it easy to give directions to people who aren't from around here. We spend most of our time outside or in a small shack we use as an office. It isn't a place for suits and ties. We are usually wearing boots and heavy gloves. The work is physically demanding, lifting and loading slabs of stone onto trucks. We don't do much in the way of fancy promotion. We just let the piles of stone speak for themselves. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work, but we manage. People in the area know us as the stone guys near Lakkad Kot. It is a basic, old-fashioned trade. We take the stones, we sell the stones, and we help people load them up for their projects. That is pretty much the whole story of what we do here every day.
