Akshar Book Center

Akshar Book Center is located on Ramnagar Road, right near Azad Maidan. If you are heading towards the Sai Mandir, you will probably see us on your way. It is a very busy part of the city, especially during festivals or when there is a big event happening at the Maidan. We have been running this shop for quite some time now, and it has become a bit of a local fixture. The shop itself is packed with books from floor to ceiling. We don't always have enough room on the shelves, so you might see some piles on the floor or on the counter. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have more than a few customers inside. We don't have a big team of employees, just a couple of us who know where most things are hidden. The building on Ramnagar Road is older and has its quirks, like the way the door creaks every time someone walks in. We don't mind it, though. We aren't trying to be a modern, polished bookstore. We just want to provide books to the people who live around here. We get a lot of regulars who stop by after visiting the Sai Mandir. It is nice to catch up with them and hear what is going on in the neighborhood. We just take things as they come and try to keep the shop going day by day. It is a simple, practical way to spend our time.
