Vijay Electronics is tucked into Plot No-4/5 in the middle of Golani Market. If you know where Indore Medical Hospital is, then you’re basically there. We’re just a short walk away from the hospital entrance. Golani Market is always packed with people looking for one thing or another. Our shop is full of parts and boxes, sometimes stacked higher than they should be. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we know exactly where every single item is hidden. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains from years of moving stuff around. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. It’s noisy outside with the market chatter and the ambulances going to the hospital, but we don't mind. The heat can get a bit much in the summer since the shop faces the sun in the afternoon. We just turn the big floor fan on and keep going. Customers usually come in with something broken or looking for a specific part they can’t find anywhere else. We spend a lot of time poking around in drawers and testing things. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We’ve been part of this market for a long time. People know they can just drop by and we’ll be here behind the counter, probably tinkering with something. It’s just a honest, busy shop in a crowded market.
