Swayamdip Women Association

You can find us at the same location as Raj Fashion and Costume Design. The address is Survey Number 44/1 in Vivekanand Colony. This is on the Kargaon Road in Jalgaon. Because it is also a fashion place, there are always rolls of fabric and sewing machines around us. We have a section of the room dedicated to the Swayamdip Women Association. It is a lively place to be. Jalgaon gets very hot, so we have a couple of big fans that we keep running all day. The colony is mostly residential, so it feels safe and familiar. We have a few tables where we do our writing and keep our ledgers. The walls are decorated with some samples of work and a few charts. We don't have a receptionist; whoever is free just talks to the people who walk in. There is a small kitchen area where we brew tea and sometimes share snacks that someone brought from home. The windows are usually open, and we can hear the children playing in the colony street. Our setup is very informal and a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. We spend our days coordinating with the women who come by and managing the paperwork. It is a practical and busy environment. We don't have any corporate polish, just a group of people working together in a shared space.
