Sumangal Book Corporation

Our office is up on the 2nd floor of the Tourist Complex, right near Nehru Chowk. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets around the Nehru Statue. It’s 6/7 in the building, and we’ve been here at Sumangal Book Corporation for a long time. Carrying boxes of books up those stairs is a daily workout for us, and the hallway can get a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives. We deal with all sorts of publications, mostly helping students and local shops get the titles they need. The windows look out toward the square, so we see the traffic jams and the crowds every afternoon while we work. The shelves are packed pretty tight, and there’s always a bit of dust because of all the paper. We don't have any fancy coffee machines or a big reception area. Usually, it’s just someone sitting behind a desk piled with invoices and a phone that rings more than it should. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out or use the light from the windows to keep counting stock. It's just a regular workplace where we try to keep things organized. People stop by to pick up orders or just to see if we have something specific in stock. We do what we can to find it in the stacks, even if it takes a few minutes of searching.
