Sonu Nago Wani

You can find us at Shop Number 109 in Polan Peth, which is right in the middle of Dana Bazaar. It is a very busy market area in Jalgaon, and the street is always full of people buying and selling things. Our shop is directly opposite the Jalgoan Janta Bank, so that makes it easy for people to find us even when the market is packed. Sonu Nago Wani has been a part of this bazaar for a while now. The shop is small and packed with bags and containers, leaving just enough room for a couple of people to stand inside. We open up early in the morning, usually around the same time the bank guards start their shift across the road. The whole day is spent weighing things out, talking to customers, and keeping track of the daily prices. It is a dusty job, and by the end of the shift, our clothes usually show it. We do not have any air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a bit if you turn it up too high. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly behind the counter while waiting for the next person to walk in. It is just a straightforward local business where we know most of the faces that pass by. The noise of the bazaar never really stops until late at night.
