Shivani Kala Kruti

We are located at Plot No G 46 in the MIDC area of Jalgaon. It’s an industrial part of town, and we’re right near Royal Aquea and Sonal Pipe. You wouldn’t expect to find a place like Shivani Kala Kruti in the middle of all these factories and warehouses, but here we are. The area is usually busy with trucks and people moving goods around. Our space is where we do our creative work, even if the surroundings are a bit grey and industrial. We’ve set up our workshop to be functional rather than pretty. There are tools and materials everywhere, and there’s usually a layer of dust on everything despite our best efforts. We spend a lot of time working on different art or craft pieces, depending on what’s needed that week. It’s a lot of hard work, and the heat in Jalgaon can be pretty intense, especially in the middle of the day. We don’t have air conditioning throughout the whole place, so we just keep the fans running and get on with it. People from around the MIDC sometimes stop by to see what we’re making. We don't do any big promotions or anything like that. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure every piece that leaves the workshop is done correctly. It is not always easy but it is what we do. We have been here for a while now and we know the locals.
