Orchid Hospital

You’ll find Orchid Hospital right near the Old Vijay Market in Jalgaon. It’s a hectic area, especially on market days when the streets are full of carts and people. We’ve been part of this community for a long time. The building itself is older, and you can tell by the way the windows rattle when a heavy truck goes by. Inside, we keep things moving however we can. It’s a hospital, so there’s always something happening. There’s no fancy lobby with glass walls. We have basic benches and a front desk that’s seen better days. Our nurses are locals who know the dialects and how to talk to the elderly folks who come in from the surrounding villages. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. It’s just part of living and working in Jalgaon. We don't have a big marketing department writing things for us. I’m writing this myself between seeing people. We deal with everything from minor injuries to more serious stuff that keeps us up through the night. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually the highlight for the staff. We’re just here to do a job. It’s hard work, and the floors get scuffed from all the feet walking through, but we keep them as clean as we can. It’s just us, doing our bit near the market. Sometimes the local dogs sleep near the entrance because of the shade we have there.
