Omkar Play School & Classes

Omkar Play School & Classes is at 23 Samartha Colony. It’s a bit of a mixed bag here because we have the tiny kids in the morning for play school and then the older ones come in later for their regular classes. It makes for a very long day, but it’s never boring. In the mornings, you can hear the little ones singing or playing with their toys. The walls are painted with some colorful drawings that we did ourselves a few years back. They’re a bit faded now, but the kids don't seem to mind. Once the afternoon hits, we tidy up the toys and get the benches ready for the school students. Samartha Colony is a quiet residential area in Jalgaon, so it’s a safe spot for the kids. We have a small porch out front where parents wait when they come to pick up their children. We don't have a big staff. It's just a few of us doing everything from teaching to cleaning the floors. We don't follow some fancy corporate curriculum. We just teach what needs to be taught and make sure the kids are happy. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized, especially with the different age groups, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it.
