We’ve been here at the ground floor in C-Wing for a while now. New B. J. Market is usually pretty loud and crowded, but we like it that way. Most days it’s just us dealing with paper and ink. People come in with all sorts of requests for printing. Sometimes they have a file ready on a thumb drive and sometimes they just have a rough idea of what they need. It gets messy when the machines act up, which happens more than we’d like. We spend a lot of time just making sure the colors look okay on the page. It’s not fancy work, but it keeps us busy. The shop isn't huge, but we have enough room for the big printers and some stacks of paper. When the power goes out, everything stops and we just sit outside for a bit. We see the same faces every week from the other shops in the market. It feels good when a job is done and the stack of paper looks clean. We try to get things done when we say we will, though sometimes the machines have other plans. Most of our day is just checking proofs and making sure we don't run out of toner. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting for things to finish. We’ve been at No. 206 for quite some time and know the neighbors well. It’s just how things go here.
