Marble Salasar

Marble Salasar is located on Kargaon Main Road, right near Miriam Gram. We’ve got Plot No.21, 25, and 26, so there is plenty of room for all the marble we keep. It’s a dusty road, and the trucks come by all the time, kicking up grit. We spend a lot of our time just standing out there, checking the stock and seeing what’s left. The sun hits the slabs directly, so they get quite hot to the touch in the middle of the day. It’s a simple business, really. We get the stone in, we stack it up, and then people come to take it away for their floors or counters. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just us and the stones. The Miriam Gram area is growing, so there’s always someone building something nearby. Sometimes we have a chat with the drivers while they wait for their loads. The yard can get a bit messy when a big shipment arrives, but we eventually get everything lined up. It’s mostly manual labor, lifting and shifting, and your back feels it by the end of the week. We don't put on any airs about what we do. It’s just marble and hard work on the main road. We’ve been at this for a while and we just keep the gates open and wait for the work to come. It’s just a normal yard for marble.
