Laxmi Bricks

Laxmi Bricks is located at Plot No. 3 on Shirsoli Road. We are right by Ichhadevi Chowk, very close to the Iccha Devi Mandir. Having the temple nearby is nice because everyone knows where that is, so we don't have to give long directions. This yard has been our workplace for quite a while now. We spend our days managing the brick piles and making sure everything is ready for whoever comes by. It is not the cleanest job in the world. You go home every day with dust on your shoes and clothes, but it is what we do. The road out here stays fairly busy with people going back and forth to the temple or heading down Shirsoli Road. We have seen the area change a bit over the years, but the way we handle our bricks hasn't changed much. We don't use any high-tech systems. It's mostly about keeping track of the inventory and talking to the drivers who come to pick up loads. Sometimes the heat makes the outdoor work tough, but we have a bit of shade where we sit and handle the paperwork. It’s a simple operation at Laxmi Bricks. No fancy slogans or big promises. We just have the bricks sitting there at Plot No. 3 and we are there to sell them to whoever needs them for their home or wall. It’s a local business run in a very old-fashioned way.
