Lalitkala Bhavan

Lalitkala Bhavan is located on the Main Road in Ganesh Colony. Being right there in the middle of Jalgaon makes us easy to visit. We’ve been here for quite a few years now. The space we have is dedicated to art and culture in a very practical way. It is not a shiny gallery with spotlights. It’s more of a community space where things happen. We have different rooms for various activities, and there is usually a bit of dust on the shelves from all the projects going on. We don't really do the whole marketing thing. The people who come here usually live nearby or heard about us through a friend. It is a place where you can find supplies or maybe see someone working on a craft. The building itself is older, but it has character. We keep the doors open during the day so anyone can walk in and ask questions. We don't have a formal mission statement written on the wall. We just want to keep the local interest in art alive. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when there is a lot going on, but that’s the way we like it. The staff is just a few of us who care about the place. We manage the day-to-day stuff, fix things when they break, and talk to the regulars. It’s a very local, down-to-earth environment for anyone interested in the creative side of Jalgaon. It’s just a normal place for creative folks.
