Jay Ram General Store

If you are heading down Sakri Road in Dhule, you will likely pass Jay Ram General Store. We have been here for a long time, right on the main stretch. It is a typical small-town shop. We sell everything from soap and matches to snacks and bags of flour. The shelves are usually pretty crowded because we try to keep a bit of everything in stock for the people who live nearby. It is not a supermarket; it is just a place where you can get what you need quickly. The traffic on Sakri Road can be quite loud with all the buses and bikes going past, but we got used to it years ago. We do not have a huge staff. It is usually just me or one of my sons behind the counter. We know most of our customers by face, even if we do not always remember every name. In the evenings, it gets quite busy with people coming home from work and stopping in for milk or some biscuits for tea. We keep the doors open late most nights to catch the last of the trade. The floor is old concrete, and the ceiling fans hum all day long to keep the Dhule heat away. We do not do any advertising. People just know we are here. It is just a regular life of keeping the shelves full and the change drawer ready.
