Our place is located at E-67 in the MIDC area. If you know the industrial zone, you know it is mostly warehouses and factories. It is a very practical environment. There are no parks or fancy shops nearby, just other companies like ours. We have a fairly large unit here. The floors are concrete and the ceilings are high. It gets quite warm in the middle of the day, especially since the building is made of metal and stone. We spend our hours managing the inventory and coordinating with the transport trucks. There is always a sound of a forklift or someone dragging crates across the floor. We do not have much in the way of decor. A few calendars on the wall and some plastic chairs in the office area is about all we have. The work is mostly about logistics and making sure the orders are packed correctly. We have a small crew and we all know our roles. We drink tea from the local stall that comes around twice a day. The MIDC roads are wide but they have a lot of potholes, so the delivery vans have to go slow. We stay busy with the paperwork and the physical counting of the stock. It is a repetitive job, but it is honest work. We close up once the last truck has been loaded and the gates are locked. It is quiet once the sun goes down and the units shut.
