In Y.S.Sane Associates, Pune has this branch office out in Sakri. We are based at Plot No. 23 in Vir Savarkar Nagar, staying with Ashok Shripat Pa. It is a bit of a distance from the main Pune office, but we manage. Dhule is a different environment altogether. The air is drier here, and life is a bit more straightforward. Our office, which we call Jiben, is where the local work happens. We have a few desks and a lot of paper. Engineering associates always seem to have more paper than they know what to do with. We spend our mornings coordinating with the team back in Pune. Sometimes the phone line isn't great, so we have to shout a bit to be heard. It makes the day interesting. We aren't a big operation in this particular spot. It’s just a few of us making sure the local projects are moving along as they should. We know the neighbors in Vir Savarkar Nagar well. Most of them are used to seeing us coming and going at odd hours. We don’t have a lunchroom, so we just eat at our desks or go home for a quick bite. It’s a very low-key way to run a business. We focus on the drawings and the site visits. As long as the work is accurate, we are happy with how things are going.
