Hotel Karishma

You can find Hotel Karishma over on Natraj Theater Road in Jilha Peth. We are right near the new bus stand and the theater, so it’s never really quiet around here. People are always rushing to catch a bus or walking back from a movie. I’ve been running the place since my father retired. The building is tucked away in a spot that gets a lot of dust from the road, so we spend a lot of time sweeping the front steps. Inside, the walls are painted a simple cream color. We have a small area where guests can sit, but most people just go straight to their rooms. The rooms have fans and basic beds. Sometimes the theater gets a bit loud when a big movie is playing, but usually, it’s not too bad after ten. We don’t have a big kitchen, so we tell people to go to the stalls near the bus stand for a quick meal. Jalgaon gets really hot in the summer, so our main job is making sure the coolers are filled with water. It’s a lot of work carrying buckets up and down, but it’s necessary. We know most of the shopkeepers on the street, and we often chat outside when things are slow. It’s just a normal hotel for people who need a spot to stay in Jilha Peth. We don't have a lift, so people have to use the stairs, which keeps everyone moving.
