We have been operating out of No. 143 in Bhavani Peth for a long time now. If you know the area, you probably know Rash Chouk, which is just a short walk away from our front door. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of history in the markets. We focus on tools, so our space is usually filled with all sorts of metal items and boxes. It’s not the most organized-looking place in the world, but we know exactly where everything is located. The morning usually starts with us opening the shutters and cleaning off the dust from the street. Bhavani Peth can get quite crowded, especially with all the small shops packed together. We see all kinds of people, from professional builders to folks just trying to fix something at home. We don’t really do much advertising; most people just hear about us from someone else or see the sign while they are walking toward the Chouk. It’s a simple life, really. We spend the day checking the stock and helping whoever walks in. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit when it’s not too hot, just watching the bikes go by. It’s a good community here, and everyone kind of looks out for each other. We plan on staying right here at No. 143 for as long as we can keep the business going through all the changes in the neighborhood.
